Retirement GamePlan™ offers SunTrust clients access to a dedicated call enter staffed with experts to answer questions, a new Web site with updated calculators, quizzes and articles, as well as a corps of specially trained financial advisors. Retirement GamePlan™ answers such questions as, "When can I afford to retire?" "Will my retirement money last?" and "How much money will I need?"

SunTrust developed Retirement GamePlan™ as a way for clients of all ages and income levels to more easily plan to reach their retirement goals and to benefit from the guidance and insights of investment consultants at SunTrust Investment Services. Retirement planning in today's economy is more relevant than ever. Most people are saving on their own with IRAs or 401(k) programs, unlike a generation ago when company pensions were more prevalent. A recent AARP study conducted in May 2008 found that one-third of middle-aged and older people have stopped putting money into their retirement accounts, and more than a quarter (27 percent) of all workers over the age of 45 have postponed plans to retire.
